What is a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)?

RDs and RDNs are food and nutrition experts who must have a four-year college degree, followed by a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetic. An accredited practical supervised internship totaling 1200 hours in varying clinical and community settings must also be completed. Only then will an RD eligible person be able to sit for a national board certified registration examination. How can an RD/RDN assist me?

Because RD/RDN’s are experts in nutrition, they are able to provided evidence based guidance for meeting nutrition and health goals. The guidance provide are not based on the latest fad diets.

Do I need a referral?

A referral from a physician is not necessary to book any of the services at Wonderfully Nutritious Solutions.

What are my payment options?

Cash, check, major credit cards. Insurance companies may provide full or partial coverage for services. You will need to contact your insurance company regarding MNT coverage on your plan. Wonderfully Nutritious Solutions does not accept or work with insurance companies directly.

How frequent are my nutrition counseling visits with an RD/RDN?

The need of a Dietitian varies from person to person. Our services are individualized to meet the needs of the client. As goals are set during the first session, we will decide on how many visits will be needed for goals to be met.

Can I use the services of Wonderfully Nutritious Solutions remotely?

Yes! The joy of modern technology allows Wonderfully Nutritious Solutions to consult with clients over the phone, email, FaceTime and Skype.

What can I expect during a full initial session?

During a full initial session, a complete medical and social history, along with diet history will be obtained. Goals will be explored. Recommendations for meeting those goals will be provided.

Do you work with children?

Children under 18 years are accepted as clients. A parent or guardian must provide written consent for initial sessions.
